spesifikasi reka bentuk.

This report presents the design of a very low frequency (VLF) current mode
preamplifier for the biomedical application. The biggest challenge in designing a VLF
current mode preamplifier is to obtain the low noise and low power consumption in the
design. The design of VLF current mode preamplifier operates at frequency 1 Hz to 10
kHz. In order to implement the VLF current mode preamplifier with the low noise and
low power consumption for the biomedical application, the most optimum amplifier
topology must be provided for the design of the VLF current mode preamplifier. Besides
that, the power consumption also must be optimized in the design of the VLF current
mode preamplifier to fulfill the design specification. The inverting op-amp is the most
optimum amplifier to achieve the objectives of this project after making comparisons
between different topologies. The design was implemented in Silterra’s 0.13-μm CMOS
process technology. The schematic construction and pre-layout simulation of the VLF
current mode preamplifier design were done using Cadence Tool to justify the
performance metrics. Results obtained from the pre-layout simulation were compared
with the design specification set. By using the proposed topology, the maximum voltage
gain of the VLF current mode preamplifier was 60 dB while the input-referred current
noise density was 585.6 fA / √Hz for the post-optimization. The power consumption of
the whole design was on 8.34 μW for the post-optimization at a supply voltage of 1 V. It
can be concluded that the design of the VLF current mode preamplifier is successful with
all performance metrics achieving the design specification.
