Rumah pintar biasanya dianggap sebagai tempat didiami orang di mana adanya peranti dan objek fizikal yang disambungkan ke internet, dan mempunyai teknologi pintar yang boleh memudahkan aktiviti-aktiviti seharian. Dua objektif projek ini adalah untuk mengukur masa tindak balas dan kadar kecekapan, serta menambahbaik keupayaan sistem rumah pintar. Projek ini menggunakan dua unit Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+, empat sensor dan LED untuk mewakili peralatan rumah. OpenCV digunakan untuk pengesanan tepat penceroboh rumah dan kamera untuk penyiaran langsung kawasan rumah. Mod komunikasi dengan pengguna adalah melalui aplikasi Android di mana pengguna dapat memantau dan mengawal peralatan rumah, memerhati siaran langsung kawasan rumah, dan menerima notifikasi kalau penceroboh dikesan. Bagi objektif pertama, pengukuran masa tindak balas dijalankan bagi empat situasi yang berbeza, iaitu pemantauan peralatan, pengawalan peralatan, permulaan siaran langsung rumah dan penerimaan notifikasi dalam telefon pintar. Tindak balas bagi pemantauan peralatan didapati paling cepat, dengan purata masa 0.1648 s, manakala tindak balas yang paling lambat adalah permulaan siaran langsung di aplikasi, dengan purata masa 6.2 s. Bagi objektif yang kedua, bilangan ciri-ciri rumah pintar dalam sistem dikira untuk memeriksa sama ada semua kriteria rumah pintar dipenuhi atau tidak, dan sistem didapati memenuhi kelima-lima kriteria tersebut. Dengan ini, diharapkan bahawa hasil projek ini mencukupi untuk dibuat sebagai rujukan bagi penyelidikpenyelidik pada masa hadapan yang ingin menambahbaik sistem ini. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ Smart homes are thought of as places where people live in where there are devices and physical objects connected to the internet, featuring intelligent technology which is able to simplify everyday activities. The objectives of this project are to measure the response time and efficiency, and to enhance the capabilities of the smart home system. The project makes use of two units of the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+, four sensors and LEDs, to represent home appliances. OpenCV is used for accurate detection of intruders and a camera is used to live stream the home. The user interface is an Android application where the user is able to monitor and control the home appliances, view the live streaming, and receive notifications should an intruder be detected in the home. For the first objective, the measurement of the response time was carried out in four different situations, namely during monitoring of appliances, control of appliances, launching the live stream and receipt of notification in the smartphone. The response of the monitoring of appliance was found to be the best performing one out of the four, at an average of 0.1648 s, while the slowest response was found to be the launch of the live stream in the application, at an average of 6.2 s. As for the second objective, the number of smart home features in the system was counted to check if all the criteria of a smart home are satisfied, and it is found to satisfy all five of the criteria. Hence, these findings are hoped to suffice as reference to future researchers who would like to improve the system.
