Abstract This European Standard specifies performance requirements and test methods under prescribed laboratory conditions for a sorbent tube used in conjunction with an air sampling pump for the determination of gases and vapours in workplace atmospheres. Annexes recommend additional tests designed to establish whether the performance characteristics of the sampler are affected by a wider range of environmental influences. If a sampler cannot comply with these specifications, its range of applicability needs to be determined and quoted.
