BS EN 50090-3-2:1996 is a European Standard titled "Home and Building Electronic Systems (HBES) - Part 3-2: Installation Planning - Guidelines for the installation of HBES systems". This standard provides guidelines for the installation of Home and Building Electronic Systems (HBES) in residential and commercial buildings.
The standard covers a wide range of HBES systems, including lighting control, security systems, heating and ventilation control, and audio/video systems. It provides guidance on the installation of these systems, including the selection and placement of components, the wiring and cabling of the system, and the testing and commissioning of the system.
BS EN 50090-3-2:1996 is one of a series of standards related to Home and Building Electronic Systems (HBES) developed by the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC). These standards aim to promote interoperability and compatibility between different electronic systems, as well as to ensure the safety and reliability of these systems in homes and buildings.
It is worth noting that this standard has been superseded by newer versions of the standard, including BS EN 50090-3-2:2015, which provides updated guidance on the installation of HBES systems.
