This Section of BS 7134 describes the method for the determination of the linear thermal expansion characteristics of engineering ceramics up to a maximum temperature of 1400 ᵒC (see 4.2) and to an accuracy of not less than ± 0.1 X 10 -6 K -1 over a temperature interval of 100 K.
