This British Standard specifies requirements for stationary or portable, single-phase or polyphase, air-cooled reduced system voltage transformers, having a rated supply voltage not exceeding 1000 V, and a rated output not exceeding 25kVA single-phase or 40 kVA polyphase, which are suitable for operation in situations in which the ambient temperature does not normally exceed 30 ᵒC but occasionally may reach 40 ᵒC.
