BS EN 61063:1996 is a British Standard that specifies the methods of testing for the determination of the electrical characteristics of electronic tubes and valves.
This standard applies to all types of receiving, transmitting and other special-purpose tubes and valves, including microwave tubes, and covers the following tests:
Static and dynamic parameter measurements
Measurement of interelectrode capacitances
Measurement of mutual conductance
Measurement of noise and hum
The purpose of these tests is to determine the electrical characteristics of the tube or valve under specified conditions of operation. This information can be used to ensure that the device meets the required performance specifications for its intended application.
BS EN 61063:1996 was superseded by the international standard IEC 61063:2015, which specifies the same test methods but with some updates and modifications.
