Intel Edison adalah pelantar kecil terbenam yang boleh digunakan dalam banyak aplikasi pemprosesan imej. Intel Edison adalah platform terbenam baru dan belum banyak dikaji dan digunakan. Projek ini bertujuan untuk melaksanakan teknik pemprosesan imej pada Intel Edison sebagai pelantar terbenam. Kamera diperlukan untuk menangkap imej bagi pemprosesan imej. Keupayaan Intel Edison untuk melaksanakan pengesanan muka telah disiasat. Selain itu, keupayaan Intel Edison untuk menyambung kepada Logitech C310 Web-cam untuk menangkap imej telah diperiksa. Projek ini melibatkan empat peringkat, iaitu pemasangan Intel Edison, penangkapan imej menggunakan kamera dengan Intel Edison, pengesanan muka operasi pada Intel Edison dan ujian program. Pengesahan program ini telah menunjukkan bahawa Intel Edison sebagai pelantar terbenam yang kecil mampu melaksanakan pemprosesan imej. Ujian ini juga menunjukkan bahawa Intel Edison mampu menyambung ke kamera untuk mengambil imej. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ Intel Edison is a small embedded platform that can be used in many image processing applications. Intel Edison is a new embedded platform and has not been widely research upon or implemented. This project aimed to develop image processing techniques on Intel Edison as an embedded platform. A Web-cam was required to capture the input image for image processing. Capability of Intel Edison to perform face detection was investigated. Besides, capability of Intel Edison to interface with Logitech c310 Web-cam in order to capture image was examined. The project worked in four stages, which were Intel Edison board setup, image capturing using Web-cam with Intel Edison, implementation of face detection on Intel Edison and program testing. Validation of the program had shown that Intel Edison as a small embedded platform is able to perform image processing. The testing also showed that Intel Edison is able to interface with Web-cam to capture image.
