Pencawang adalah sebahagian daripada sistem penjanaan, penghantaran dan pengagihan elektrik. Pencawang mengubah voltan dari tinggi ke rendah, atau sebaliknya, atau melaksanakan mana-mana beberapa fungsi penting yang lain. Antara stesen menjana dan pengguna, kuasa elektrik boleh mengalir melalui beberapa pencawang di tahap voltan berbeza. Panel pengedaran adalah fungsi yang sama seperti pencawang pengagihan yang meletak voltan dan makanan kepada pengguna. Pada asasnya, terdapat kira-kira 4 unsur-unsur dalam panel pengagihan yang perlindungan, asas, meter dan pengubah. Elemen ini perlu dikaji dengan tepat untuk memahami prinsip kerja elemen. Untuk perlindungan, tidak mempunyai fius, pemutus litar dan pengubah semasa. Setiap satu daripada alat-alat ini mempunyai ciri-ciri tertentu untuk melindungi talian kuasa dan lain-lain merangka. Sistem asas mesti ada yang terdiri dalam panel kerana tubuh panel adalah konduktor. Asas juga akan melindungi perkara di sekitar panel. Jika ada mempunyai sebarang kebocoran dalam panel, apabila menyentuh kebocoran semasa untuk badan, ia akan membahayakan kepada orang-orang di sekitarnya. Pengubah dalam panel yang bekerja di AU sistem tiga fasa, ia adalah satu langkah ke bawah pengubah dengan 415V/200V 20KVA. Meter yang terkandung dalam panel digunakan untuk mengukur nilai tertentu yang penting seperti kilowatt-jam, ampere, kilowatt,kekerapan,voltan. Penarafan peranti ini dalam panel mestilah dipastikan dan membuat senarai semua peranti penarafan itu. Ia adalah kerana penarafan peranti adalah sangat penting untuk melindungi peranti dari rosak selepas bekalan kuasa diberikan. Gambarajah talian tunggal mesti melukis dahulu untuk mencapai gambarajah garis penuh. Teknik pendawaian telah dikaji sebelum membuat sambungan pendawaian yang betul. Selepas kerja pendawaian selesai, ujian akan dijalankan. Ujian ini akan dibahagikan kepada tiga bahagian yang mana untuk menguji pendawaian (semakan pendawaian), ujian tanpa beban dan ujian dengan beban telah diberikan kepada panel.  ___________________________________________________________________________________ A substation is a part of an electrical generation, transmission, and distribution system. Substations transform voltage from high to low, or the reverse, or perform any of several other important functions. Between the generating station and consumer, electric power may flow through several substations at different voltage levels. The distribution panel has the same function as distribution substation which is step down the voltage and feed to the consumer. Basically, there have about 4 elements in the distribution panel which are protection, grounding, meter and transformer. These element must been studied precisely in order to understand the working principle of the element. For protection, there has fuse, circuit breaker and current transformer. Each of these devices has specific characteristic for protect power line and other devise. The grounding system there must be consisting in the panel since the body of the panel are conductor. Grounding will also protect thing around panel. If there have any leakage in the panel, when the leakage current touches to the body, it will harm to people surrounding. The transformer in the panel is working on A.C. three phase system, it is a step down transformer with 415V/200V 20KVA. Meter consist in the panel are used to measure certain value that important such as kilowatt-hour, ampere, kilowatt, frequency, voltage. The rating of this device in the panel must be ensure and list of all the rating’s devices. It is because the rating of device is very important in order to protect the device from damaged after the power supply was given. Single line diagram must be drawing it first in order to achieve the full line diagram. The wiring technique has been studied to make proper wiring connection. After all the wiring in the panel finish, the testing will be conducted .This test will be divided into three part which is to test the wiring (wiring checking), test the without the load and test with the load were given to the panel. The objectives will be known after the test run.
