Kajian aliran kuasa juga dikenali sebagai aliran kuasa, ianya juga salah satu elemen penting bagi analisis dan rekabentuk kuasa. Kajian aliran kuasa sangat penting di dalam perancangan , pengendalian, penjadualan ekonomi dan pertukaran kuasa di antara sesuatu utiliti. Masalah aliran beban biasanya terdiri daripada persamaan algebra tidak linear dan ianya memerlukan masa yang panjang untuk mengira atau mencari penyelesaian. Perhitungan aliran kuasa menjadi rumit dan mencabar apabila jumlah bas yang besar serta kerumitan yang tinggi di dalam sesuatu sistem. Oleh itu, perisian komputer telah digunakan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan aliran beban ini. Di dalam projek ini, masalah aliran kuasa diselesaikan dengan mengunakan simulasi PSCAD/EMTDC. Ojektif projek ini adalah untuk memngembangkan/membina model-model 3 fasa sistem aliran kuasa dengan menggunakan paparan skematik PSCAD dan menyelesaikan masalah-masalah aliran kuasa dengan menggunakan simulasi PSCAD. Keputusan akhir daripada PSCAD akan dibandingkan dengan keputusan akhir program MATLAB daripada Hadi Saadat. Perbezaan peratus bagi jawapan akan ditentukan dan dianalisis. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam projek ini meliputi pemahaman teori analisis aliran kuasa dan penyelesaiaan aliran kuasa dengan menggunakan PSCAD serta perbandingan keputusan yang diperolehi. Selepas membandingkan keputusan akhir untuk ketiga kes di antara PSCAD dan program MATLAB, kesimpulan dapat dibuat untuk simulasi PSCAD. Kesimpulannya ialah, dua daripada tiga kes simulasi PSCAD berjaya mencapai matlamat dan objektif projek ini. Oleh itu, kejayaan membina sesuatu sistem aliran kuasa bergantung kepada keputusan simulasi PSCAD. Ianya mudah digunakan untuk menyelesaikan sistem kuasa yang kompleks. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Power flow analysis is also known as a load flow, it is an important element of power analysis and design. These power flows is very significant for planning, operation, and economic scheduling and replace power between utilities. The load flow problems consists the nonlinear equations and it needs a lot of time on calculating or finding the solution. The computations of load flow become complicated and tough when there are large number of buses and high complication in the system. Therefore, computed-aided software is used to give solution of the load flow problems. In this project, the power flow problems are solved by using the PSCAD/EMTDC simulation. The objective of this project is to develop three phase balance power flow models using PSCAD schematic layout and solve the power flow problems using both PSCAD simulation. The end results from PSCAD are compared with the end result from MATLAB program from Hadi Saadat. The percentage different of the results are determined and analysed. The methodology in this project involves understanding of the theories of power flow analysis and implementation of power flow solution using PSCAD simulation as well as comparison of results obtain. After comparing the end results from three cases with the results between PSCAD and MATLAB program, the conclusion about the PSCAD simulation is made. The conclusion of PSCAD states two out of three cases achieve the goals and aim for this project. Therefore, the success of improvement of this project is based on simulation by PSCAD software. It is simple to analyze complex power flow resolution through using PSCAD.
