In this project, fractal antenna for multi-band application is designed and simulated by using Advanced design System (ADS) tools. Sierpinski Carpet, one of the types of fractal antenna, is chosen as the design and subject for research and analysis. In addition, fractal concept is implemented with array antenna as well to create a new design of multi-band antenna These design is used to operate at both 2.0GHz and 3.5GHz simultaneously to offer solutions for integration of IMT2000 (3G) and WIMAX application simultaneously on a miniature antennas. Therefore, the required antenna specifications is the operating frequency should be 2.0GHz and 3.5GHz and the magnitude of S11 should be less than -15dB for satisfaction of performance. This specifications is checked by simulation using Momentum tools of Advanced Design System. Radiation pattern and antenna parameter is obtained using the same method. After that, the design will be fabricated on the dielectric substrate i.e. FR4. Testing and measurement will be carried out for s-parameter analysis and radiation pattern. Comparison and analysis will be worked on this result and characteristic of these designs as well. Conclusion will be made regarding to the performance of fractal antenna and combinational of fractal and array antenna respectively. Improvement of these designs is expected for future and wide usage in the real world.
