Komputer tidak berupaya menggunakan konteks informasi (seperti lokasi, masa, suhu dan sebagainya) secara berguna seumpama manusia menggunakannya untuk berinteraksi dan bersesuaian dengan keadaan . Adalah susah untuk computer menerima, memapar dan memproses konteks informasi. Walaubagaimanapun, denagan bantuan informasi tersebut, sistem computer dan aplikasinya dipermudahkan dan lebih fleksibel serta sesuai kepada pengguna. Ini adalah terutama penting dalam telefon mudah alih yang konteksnya perlu diubah sentiasa oleh pengguna. Projek ini memaparkan pembangunan sistem ‘intelligent home’ dalam sistem telefon mudah alih (dengan kesedaran kepentingan konteks informasi).
Computers cannot as easily as humans make use of context information (e.g. location, time, temperature, and other persons nearby) in interactions and adapt to the situation. It is not easy for them to capture, represent, and process context information. However, with help of such information computer systems and applications could be made more user-friendly, flexible and adaptable. This is especially important in mobile computing where the context and thus also the user needs change frequently and rapidly. This project presents an implementation of mobile context aware application-intelligent home system.
