Teknologi modul termo-elektrik menjadi kajian disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor yang mempunyai nilai tersendiri. Berdasarkan prinsip-prinsip asas teknologi termo elektrik dan masa termodinamik yang terhad, sistem termo elektrik telah dibina sejak beberapa masa yang lalu. Dalam usaha untuk mengkaji kemajuan dan prestasi teknologi termo-elektrik untuk sisa haba, modul termo- elektrik telah dibina pada suhu yang rendah terhadap sisa haba. Perbandingan terhadap keputusan di antara analisis teori dan eksperimen, model sistem ini telah disahkan dengan sebab-sebab yang berasas. Keputusan ujian dan perbincangan terhadap keputusan yang diperoleh menunjukkan potensi modul termo elektrik digunakan untuk suhu rendah dalam pemulihan sisa haba yang terbuang, terutama dalam kehidupan seharian. Beberapa cadangan untuk meningkatkan prestasi sistem termo elektrik telah dicadangkan melalui analisis model sistem ini, berpandukan kepada penambahbaikkan dan pengubahsuaian terhadap persediaan eksperimen ini dibina. Dengan menggabungkan keputusan analisa teori dan eksperimen, didapati bahawa selain meningkatkan suhu sisa haba yang dibuang dan modul termo elektrik disambungkan dalam keadaan siri, memperluas kawasan permukaan haba sink dalam julat yang betul dan meningkatkan keupayaan sampingan terhadap permindahan haba dalam julat yang betul juga boleh digunakan untuk meningkatkan keupayaan prestasi termo elektrik dalam eksperimen ini. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ Thermo electric module technology, due to its several kinds of merits, especially its promising applications to waste heat recovery, is becoming a noticeable research direction. Based on basic principles of thermo electric module technology and finite time thermodynamics, thermo electric module system model has been established. In order to investigate viability and further performance of the thermo electric module for waste heat, a low-temperature waste heat thermo electric module setup has been constructed. Through the comparison of results between theoretic analysis and experiment, reasonability of this system model has been verified. Testing results and discussion show the promising potential of using thermo electric module for low-temperature waste heat recovery, especially in real life. Several suggestions for system performance improvement have been proposed through the analysis of this system model, which guide optimization and modification of this experimental setup. By integrating theoretic analysis and experiment, it is found that besides increasing waste heat temperature and TE modules in series, expanding heat sink surface area in a proper range and enhancing cold-side heat transfer capacity in a proper range can also be employed to enhance the performance of this setup.
