Implimentasi awal yang terperinci dan sistematik bagi papan litar bercetak (PCB) FR4 untuk pencirian pembezaan pencampur telah dinyatakan dalam tesis ini. Pembezaan pencampur telah dimplimentasikan untuk beroperasi dalam frekuensi RF pada 70 MHz dan frekuensi LO pada 970 MHz. Rangkaian keserasian keluaran dioptimumkan untuk keluaran frekuensi pada 900 MHz. Kemudian, simulasi litar pembezaan pencampur dijalankan bagi mentakrifkan titik persilangan ketiga, kehilangan kuasa pemampat 1 dB dan angka hingar tepian jalur tunggal. Kesan surih pada PCB adalah 2.6 mm dimana ia ditentukan dalam pengiraan pada pencirian impedans, Z0 bagi 50 W. Simulasi pembezaan pencampur memberi keputusan OIP3 pada 8.72 dBm, IIP3 pada 5.78 dBm dan P1dB pada 􀀀2.45 dBm. Pencirian simulasi dibandingkan dengan pencirian cip pembezaan pencampur, MAX2673. _________________________________________________________________________________________ A detailed and systematic preliminary work for FR4 printed circuit board (PCB) implementation of differential mixer characterization is presented in this thesis. The differential mixer is implemented for operation with an RF frequency of 70 MHz and LO frequency of 970 MHz. The output matching network is optimized for an output frequency of 900 MHz. Next, the differential mixer circuit simulation is carried out to define the third order intercept point, 1 dB compression power dissipation and the single sideband noise figure. The trace width of PCB is 2.6 mm, which is determined by calculation at characteristic impedance, Z0 of 50 W. The differential mixer simulation resulting in OIP3 of 8.72 dBm, IIP3 of 5.78 dBm and P1dB of 􀀀2.45 dBm. The simulation characteristics are compared to the characteristic of the differential mixer chip, MAX2673.
