In test application, data acquisition is a very important part to collect the measurement value and data from a testing unit. Data acquisition system includes software and hardware that is required to generate data that can be manipulated by a computer to obtain the desired information for analysis. In this project, a stepper motor mounted with a high resolution encoder system is considered as a unit for testing and measurement to analyze its performance. A high speed serial interface (SPI and SCI) of the encoder system has to be utilized for data acquisition. In order to collect data from the encoder system, a data acquisition system is developed.
