Microwave-assisted koh activation preparation of groundnut shell activated carbon (gsac) for malachite green and methyl yellow adsorption

Microwave-assisted koh activation preparation of groundnut shell activated carbon (gsac) for malachite green and methyl yellow adsorption / Rutthiran Kalaiarasu
_______________________________________________________________________________________________________ The study involves producing groundnut shell based activated carbon (GSAC) by using microwave-assisted KOH activation method. Groundnut shell was carbonized and activated using potassium hydroxide using microwave heating. The prepared GSAC has high surface area and pore volume. The efficiencies of the GSAC are tested with the removal of malachite green and methyl yellow dyes.
