This Part of BS 3250 describes a test method to determine the efficiency of solid mineral fuel burning domestic heating appliances which incorporate as a design feature the production of convected heat. The method is used in the assessment of roomheaters and of open fires with convection in accordance with BS 3378:1986 and BS 3376:1994 respectively, to establish whether the minimum efficiency requirements specified in those standards are met.
