Sekarang ini, sistem automatik telah banyak diaplikasikan di dalam pelbagai jenis sistem untuk mengurangkan penggunaan tenaga manusia, menjimatkan masa dan kos, serta meningkatkan kecekapan produk. Dalam situasi di mana sumber tenaga manusia adalah terhad, sistem automatik sangat membantu. Sistem penyiraman automatik direka untuk menyiram beberapa buah pasu bunga untuk jangka masa yang ditetapkan. Objektif projek ini ialah untuk merekabentuk suatu sistem terbenam untuk mengawal pemasa dan agihan pengaliran air. Sistem terbenam ini meliputi satu pengawal elektronik dengan litar elektronik dan papan mikro-pengawal Arduino. Kelebihan menggunakan papan Arduino ialah ia boleh diharap dan bahasa pemprogramannya mudah untuk diubah dan difahami. Litar elektronik menyediakan butang tekan yang berfungsi sebagai masukan bagi mewakili pemasa yang akan dikawal. LEDs dan LCD juga digunakan sebagai keluaran untuk menunjukkan aktiviti semasa sistem tersebut. Masukan yang dipilih akan diproses oleh program di dalam papan Arduino bagi mengaktifkan pemasa yang berbeza. Ini akan memicu pengaktifan injap solenoid dan air akan dibenarkan untuk diagihkan. Penyesuai 12 VDC digunakan untuk memberi bekalan kuasa kepada papan Arduino, manakala pengubah langkah turun digunakan untuk menurunkan kadar bekalan kuasa bagi injap solenoid. Geganti juga digunakan sebagai suis elektronik untuk mengaktifkan injap solenoid. Hasilnya, sistem penyiraman pasu bunga automatik yang berkesan dan boleh diharap berjaya dibina. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ Nowadays, automatic system has been widely implied in many types of system to reduce manpower, saves time and cost, as well as increasing product efficiency. In a situation where there is no manpower to perform a specific function, an automatic system is very helpful. An automatic watering system is designed to water few pots of flowers automatically in a specified period of time. The objective of this project is to design an embedded system to control timer and water flow of the water distribution. The embedded system consists of an electronic controller with electronic circuit and Arduino microcontroller board. The advantages of using an Arduino board are that it is reliable and the programming language is easy to understand and change. The electronic circuit provides push buttons as input of the selected timer to be controlled. LEDs and LCD are used as the output to indicate the current activities of the system. The selected inputs will be processed by the program in the Arduino board to activate different timer. This will trigger an activation of the solenoid valve and allow water to be distributed. A 12 VDC adapter is used to give power supply to Arduino board, while a step down transformer is used to step down the household power supply for the solenoid valve. The relay is also used as an electronic switch to activate the solenoid valve. As a result, an effective and reliable automatic flower pots watering system has been successfully built.
