Dalam projek ini model analisis bagi mesin magnet kekal segerak (MMKS) dibentangkan. Terbitan matematik bagi taburan medan magnet dalam jurang udara untuk jejarian dan pemagnetan selari dirumuskan terlebih dahulu dalam mesin magnet kekal segerak tanpa slot, kemudian dikira dan diplot dalam perisian MATLAB. Kompleks relatif ruang udara permeance diterbitkan untuk mengambil kira kesan slot di rantau slot pembukaan. Fungsi permeance kompleks ditambah ke dalam model analisis dan pengedaran medan magnet diplotkan sekali lagi menggunakan perisian pengaturcaraan MATLAB. Dalam projek ini, mesin 6-slot / 4-tiang dipilih dan model mesin itu dibina menggunakan Opera2D. Graf taburan medan magnet diplotkan untuk mengesahkan model baru. Hubungan fluks dan fasa voltan aruhan daripada mesin magnet kekal segerak dapat diperolehi berdasarkan terbitan ketumpatan fluks magnet. Tork elektromagnet boleh ditentukan daripada fasa voltan aruhan. Akhirnya, analisis mesin berputar dijana menggunakan Opera2D untuk mengesahkan fasa analisis voltan aruhan dan tork elektromagnet. Keputusan analisis menunjukkan persamaan yang sangat baik dengan keputusan yang diperolehi daripada analisis unsur terhingga. Keputusan pengedaran medan magnet di dalam mesin tanpa slot dan slot untuk model analisis adalah 100% sama dengan keputusan dari kaedah unsur terhingga. Oleh itu model analisis yang digunakan dalam projek ini boleh digunakan untuk meramalkan prestasi mesin tiga fasa mesin magnet kekal segerak. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ In this project an analytical model for permanent magnet synchronous machines (PMSM) is presented. The mathematical derivation for the magnetic field distribution in the air gap for radial and parallel magnetization is first formulated in a slotless PMSM, and then calculated and plotted in MATLAB software. The complex relative air gap permeance is developed to account for the slotting effect in the slot opening region. The complex permeance function is coupled into the analytical model and the magnetic field distribution are plotted again using MATLAB programming software. In this project, a 6-slots/4-poles machine is chosen and the machine model is built in Opera2D. The magnetic field distribution graphs are plotted to validate the new model. The flux linkage and phase back-emf of the PMSM are obtained based on the derivation of magnetic flux density. The electromagnetic torque can be determined from the phase back-emf. Finally, the rotating machine (RM) analysis is generated in the Opera2D to validate the analytical phase back-emf and electromagnetic torque. The analytical results show very good agreement with the results obtained from finite element analysis. The results of magnetic field distribution in slotless and slotted machine for analytical model are 100% identical with the results from finite element method. Therefore the analytical model used in this project can be used to predict the machine performance of three-phase PMSM.
